I am Brittany and I am trying to get into the best shape of my life. I want to build muscle and burn fat. Another goal is to someday compete in a competition! This is not a thinspo blog or pro-ana. I don't support them and don't care about being skinny.
I am a healthy, fitness oriented blog.

I get this question a lot and it’s one that totally hits home for me!
“My family knows how much I want to be fit, but they continue to buy junk food and keep it in the house. What should I do!? It’s so tempting!”
First and foremost you all know by now.. my WEAKNESS is chocolate.. and anything sugary. My parents are also very aware of this… and they know how dedicated I am to living a healthy, fit lifestyle. However my mom buys my favorite candies and keeps them in jars around the house. Yes…. OPEN JARS AROUND THE HOUSE… FULL OF CHOCOLATEY-GOODNESS…. JUST WAITING TO BE EATEN…. It is TORTURE.
I tried telling them to get rid of it, but that never seems to stick. They tell me it’s for “guests” and basically tell me to kindly “deal with it”. While talking to your family might be enough to get them to see your side of things… sometimes that just won’t work, as in my case!
If your family is stubborn and won’t get rid of the junk… consider it a challenge. That’s what I have to do… I remind myself what I want more each and every day. Do I really want that piece of chocolate, or do I want a healthy, fit body? (Oh and for the record, we’re not talking healthy dark chocolate… we’re talking Reeses & Snickers kind of candy). While I know it’s perfectly ok to have a treat once in awhile, eating this stuff everyday would NOT help me reach my goals or maintain a healthy, lean body. I’ve learned to be good the majority of the time and have my weekly sugary treat (usually Yogurtland) in moderation. Moderation is key!
It takes time and practice! Willpower is like a muscle.. you have to train it for it to get stronger =)
one day i’ll look like this when i run…
